Half of All Children Will Be Autistic by 2025, Warns Senior Research Scientist at MIT
If you saw the title and are asking yourself why, it’s due to the glyphosate in Monsanto’s RoundUp herbicide. Yes, the popular herbicide actually ends up in our food.
Stephanie Seneff, PhD, has examined biology and technology over the years and published over 170 peer-reviewed articles in her career. Most recently, Seneff has focused on the link between nutrition and health and tackled topics such as autoimmune diseases, Alzheimer’s and autism. She has also studied the effects of environmental toxins and nutritional deficiencies on our health.

At a conference held last Thursday, Dr. Seneff declared that she expects 50% of all children to be autistic by 2025. That’s a bold and shocking claim, but she is pretty confident in her estimation. According to her, the symptoms of autism mimic those of glyphosate toxicity, and she also has data that shows a link between the use of RoundUp on crops and the increasing autism cases. Children suffering from autism have excessive glyphosate biomarkers such as low serum sulfate, seizures, mitochondrial disorder and iron and zinc deficiency.
According to one panelist at the conference, “All of the 70 or so people in attendance were squirming, likely because they now had serious misgivings about serving their kids, or themselves, anything with corn or soy, which are nearly all genetically modified and thus tainted with Roundup and its glyphosate.” As RoundUp is used on soy and corn, all soft drinks and foods sweetened with corn syrup have some glyphosate in them. The beef and chicken meat we consume often also contains traces of the toxic as most animals are fed with GMO feed. Wheat is sprayed with RoundUp as well, which means that bread and wheat products are not safe from glyphosate as well. According to studies, 60% of pregnant women that live near farms where RoundUp is used have a 60% higher risk of giving birth to autistic children.
And it’s not just the glyphosate – the MMR vaccine may be causing autism as well. Many studies have linked the vaccine to autism and several other disorders. Children living in homes with vinyl floors that emit phthalates are also more exposed to the risk of autism, as are children whose mothers smoked during pregnancy.
According to a study published by the USDA this month, 99% of the samples of food taken by the agency had chemical residues in the safe range, while 40% contained no traces of pesticides at all. However, the USDA stated that due to cost concerns, the samples weren’t tested for glyphosate residue. This is absurd! Unless the USDA is “in bed” with Monsanto, there’s absolutely no reason why they wouldn’t test the samples on glyphosate. There are rumors that Monsanto’s paying big money to officials in order to avoid tests on their products, and it seems that the rumors are true. Additionally, Dr. Seneff says that although there’s a link between vaccines and autism, it isn’t so strong as the link between glyphosate and autism. Autism is, of course, a big health problem with many causes, but Dr. Seneff has enough credential to consider the data valid.
Of course, Monsanto won’t admit that RoundUp is harmful. Plants have a seven-step metabolic route called the Shikimate pathway that is used for biosynthesis of aromatic amino acids. However, glyphosate inhibits this pathway, causing irreparable damage to the plants and eventually killing them. As Dr. Seneff points out, bacteria do have this pathway, which is vital as they supply our body and tissues with amino acids. RoundUp destroys our intestinal microflora and allows different pathogens to accumulate and grow, effectively interfering with the biosynthesis and reducing the levels of folate, chelate, iron, manganese and cobalt in the body. Even worse, some of the chemical in the pesticide are not tested because they’re inert, even when a 2014 study revealed that these chemicals amplify the power of RoundUp.
Glyphosate is present in high concentrations in the breast milk of American mothers and European water as well. According to Dr. Seneff, this is unacceptable and must be addressed immediately, or we’re risking the health of our children.
