They are also excellent sours of energy, and we need them for normal function. Oats contain 17 % proteins which makes them perfect for our diets.

4. Vitamins and Minerals

As we said before oatmeal is rich in vitamins and minerals. It is high in magnesium, phosphorus, copper, iron, vitamin B12, manganese, selenium, vitamin B1, and zinc. If we consume oatmeal regularly, it will help us boost our immune system and maintain our health. (2)

Oats contain more fat than other grains. It provides 5-9 % good fat which is consisted mostly of unsaturated fatty acids. The best way to intake fats is by eating oatmeal every single day. Of course, you should consume it in small portions, and you must avoid buying processed oats because then you will notice side effects.
