Meaty Lettuce Beds

⦁ 1 tablespoon Extra virgin Olive oil
⦁ 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
⦁ 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
⦁ 1 tablespoon ginger, peeled and finely chopped
⦁ ½ teaspoon Turmeric
⦁ 250 grams lean beef, minced
⦁ 100 grams lamb, minced
⦁ 200 grams pork, minced
⦁ ½ big sized potato, peeled and finely chopped
⦁ 2 teaspoons red chili flakes
⦁ 1 tablespoon honey
⦁ Juice of half lemon
⦁ Fillet of one Anchovy
⦁ 1 teaspoon Light soy sauce, or as per taste
⦁ Basil and Coriander leaves, finely chopped
⦁ 7 Lettuce leaves separated
⦁ salt and freshly ground black pepper, as per taste
⦁ Lemon juice and lemon zest, to garnish



⦁ Heat some oil in a saucepan and add cumin seeds, ginger, garlic and turmeric to it.
⦁ As they start to temper, add the minced beef and pork.
⦁ Cook it for 4-5 minutes and then add the minced lamb and mix. Let it cook covered for 5 minutes.
⦁ Add the chopped potato, some salt, chili flakes, pepper and lemon juice and continue to cook on reduced heat for 10-12 minutes, till the meat is cooked.
⦁ Once the mea starts to dry out, add the anchovy fillet with some soy sauce and sprinkle some fresh coriander and basil.
⦁ Once done, lower the flame and open up the 7 individual large lettuce leaves and arrange them on a serving dish.
⦁ Place some of this prepared meat mixture over each of the leaves.
⦁ Pour some olive oil over each serving and sprinkle some lemon juice and lemon zest on top of them. Serve hot.
