Natural Remedies to Cure Common Ailments

Nowadays, people try to avoid drugs and treat their ailments with natural remedies. It is confirmed that natural remedies in many cases can be more effective than drugs and they don’t have side effects. They are based on the herbs healing properties, and they can be a really good substitution for the chemical medications.

For many years I’ve been using natural remedies for cold, cough, fever, toothache, headache, and muscular pain. I’ve noticed that my immune system is boosted and I am feeling healthier than ever. That is the reason I want to help people and recommend them some natural treatments for their ailments.

1. Back Pain

– Massage Therapy

It is beneficial for people with subacute and chronic low back pain. If you suffer from it, you should have massage therapies every day. The therapy should be done with some essential oil such as lavender and in circular motions. It will provide instant relief, and you will feel better.

– Acupuncture

Like we know traditional Chinese medicine believes that the pain is a result of blocked energy along the energy pathways of the body. With the acupuncture needles, we unblock the energy and relived the pain. It is confirmed that in some way this is true. Acupuncture release natural pain-relieving opioids, send signals to the sympathetic nervous system and release neurochemicals and hormones. Doing it only three times a week can help you relive the back pain and said goodbye to analgesics.

– Heat and cold therapies

You should alternate hot and cold packs for 20 minutes. The hot will stimulate your circulation, improve tissue nutrition, relive the pain and increase the muscular flexibility. The cold therapy reduces the blood flow, the swelling, the pain and improves the mobility. When you combine these different methods, you boost the healing processes in your body and relieve the pain.

– Sleep in the fetal position

Many times the bad sleeping position is the main cause of back pain. Experts recommend the fetal position as the best for sleeping. It means that you should lie on your side, with flexed knees and hips. Between your legs, you need to place some pillow.  In this way, all your body muscles will be relaxed, and you will sleep like an angel.

2. Cold, cough and flu

– Honey and lemon cough syrup

We all know that this combination will boost our immunity, relive a cough and also help us in case of a high fever. You need to mix 2 cups of lemon juice and five tablespoons of honey. Then simmer it for several minutes. When the syrup is the ready place it in a fridge. Use two tablespoons of it twice a day till the cold is a goon.

– Orange juice

Orange juice is my favorite drink. It is extremely delicious and provides numerous of benefits for our body. Oranges are fruits rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, calcium, and iron. If we consume them regularly, they will stimulate our immune system and protect us from cold and flu. I recommend you to start your day with a glass of orange juice and in this way promote your health and avoid a different issue.

3. Headache

– Ice pack

When I have a headache I wrap some ice pack in a cloth and apply it on my head. After 10 minutes, I feel instant relive. It is very easy and efficient headache treatment. You can also use it for neck or shoulder pain.

– Massage

Massage your head with circular motions for 15 minutes, and you will see how the pain will be relived. You can do it several times a day, and it will also help you reduce the stress and calm your body. If you have used some essential oil for the massage.

– Garlic juice

This is not so delicious remedy, but it is extremely efficient. You need to add one garlic clove in a blender and blend it well. Then mix it with a tablespoon of honey. You can use it several times a day till the pain is gone. This remedy reactivates our brain’s sensory areas and makes the pain go away.

4. Constipation

– Mint or ginger tea

They are great remedies for treating constipation. Mint contains menthol which has antispasmodic properties and relaxes the muscles of the digestive system. Ginger stimulates the digestion and the bowel movement. You can use these teas as a natural laxative and solve your problem easily.

– Figs syrup

For this remedy, you will need 3 dried figs and 3 almonds. Soak the almonds and dried figs in water and leave them to stay for 2 hours. Then peel the almonds and grind the ingredients. Consume one tablespoon from this syrup every night before you go to sleep and you will never again suffer from constipation.

5. Nasal Congestion

– Ginger Compress

Slice up a 3-inch piece of ginger root and add it to boiling water. Cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Then soak a washcloth in the mixture and apply it over your face. Leave it to stay for 15 minutes. Repeat this twice a day.

– Salt and baking soda

Mix one teaspoon of sea salt and ½ teaspoon of baking soda in a jar. Pour 1 cup of water. Stir it well. Then blow as much mucous as possible out of your nose and with a dropper apply several drops from the solution in your nose. Leave it to stay for 5 minutes and blow your nose again. Do this few times a day.

6. Stomach ache or heartburn

– Cinnamon, mint, and basil

In a ½ liter of water, you should add one tablespoon of mint, one tablespoon of cinnamon and one teaspoon of basil. Then place the mixture to boil for 20 minutes. Drink a cup of this remedy every time you feel discomfort in your stomach.
