The AAD, or the American Academy of Dermatology, states that the fungi infections most commonly attack the toenail due to the fact that the toes are all the time trapped in shoes where the environment is warm and closed, that is, ideal for bacteria. The fungi, as well as the bacteria, can be present inside and outside of the body. When a fungi starts growing more and more, it leads to the appearance of infections.

Vinegar is an acid and it can interfere with the survival rates of the fungi. There is nothing to worry about as the nails and skin are not going to be harmed from the vinegar around the fungi.
- 1 cup white vinegar or apple vinegar
- 4-5 tbsp. of baking soda
- Paper towels
Combine 1 cup of vinegar and water to get a mixture in which you are going to soak your feet. Soak them for about fifteen minutes and afterwards use the towels to dry them. Add a couple of tablespoons of baking soda in the water and soak again for fifteen minutes. Dry them well again.
